Ardent believes that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is much more than a slogan. Ardent practises Corporate Social Responsibilities every day in practical, meaningful ways for its employees and communities.

Ardent is a family owned and run business, and we regard our employees and their families, as an extension of our own family.



The first step of Ardent CSR is to ensure security of employment. Our employees are employed on an ongoing basis; they know they have security by being a 'permanent employee' with 'family friendly' rosters. We do whatever we can to support our employees and their families. This support includes assisting our employees and their families with flexible hours and whatever leave is necessary so they can provide care for the needs of their families. 


Ardent also acknowledges that one of the biggest contributing factors to poor mental health in families is financial stress. Ardent offers our employees interest free assistance loans to get them through difficult periods.

Family Support and Wellbeing.

Ardent supports training of our young people to provide them with better jobs and futures. Ardent works with and supports the Australian Technical College by providing work experience, placements and donations. We also have at least one apprentice under training each year.



Our belief at Ardent is that the best gift you can give a young person is a good job and encouragement to increase their opportunities through knowledge.

Supporting our Veterans

Ardent has two former Australian Defence Forces personnel in management and three additional former services veterans as employees. Our manpower services has a structured system similar to the Services and Ardent actively seeks out Veterans as employees. Our family friendly rosters and veteran to veteran mentoring and other support has resulted in Veterans successfully re-engaging

back into civilian society, with some already eligible for Long Service Leave.

Mental Health

Ardent believes that the contribution of the three foregoing CSR principles are the biggest contributors to good mental health of our employees. As half our workforce are shift workers, which in itself is not a contributor to good mental health, it is essential we believe, that we focus on our three key CSR points to ensure the good mental health of ALL our employees.
